Know the limits before you choose a file
The tools on this page describe browser-local processing in their own workflows. File limits and browser memory constraints still differ by tool, so check the matching card and tool page before you begin.
- Video to GIF accepts video files up to 100MB and a selected clip up to 15 seconds.
- The current GIF editing and conversion tools accept GIF files up to 50MB.
- Heavy files, large dimensions, or many frames can still exceed available browser memory.
- Use the tool’s preview or report to confirm the output before you download it.

Which GIF tool should I start with?
Start with Video to GIF for a short source clip. Start with Compressor, Analyzer, or Speed Changer when you already have an animated GIF. Choose a converter only when you need MP4 or animated WebP output.
Are these GIF tools free?
The current browser-local workflows do not require an account, credits, or a server-side media conversion API. Check each tool page for its exact inputs, limits, and output behavior.
Will a local tool work with every file?
No. The supported formats and file-size limits vary by tool. Large dimensions, long clips, and many animation frames can require more browser memory than a device has available.
